And, this focus on expression will assist my students in developing as individuals who are able to critically analyze their lives and the world they live in through writing and dramatic performances. I believe that this curricular focus on expression will better prepare my students to face new challenges that life will put in their paths as they move towards graduation from a college-prep high school and subsequently pursue a college education. Because I teach courses in multiple classrooms as well as in other off-campus locations, I am almost constantly on the move from classroom to theater to road trips for speech competitions. For each of the courses I teach, students are required to use technology to successfully complete course standards. These college-prep standards include focusing on writing, research, and presentation. But, there is currently insufficient school funding to ensure that my students have computer access in the various locations of instruction.
