These uppercase and lowercase magnetic letters will be used in a word study station as students learn to make words. By manipulating the letters, students will see how putting them together forms words and words put together in a meaningful way, makes sentences. This foundational skill of putting the letters together and breaking them apart is essential to the foundation of reading. As we discuss the sounds that the letters make students will gain insight into blending and decoding. This station along with other stations such as guided reading, listening, and independent reading will function together to create a well-rounded independent reader!
