Our classroom is designed to give students with emotional disabilities tools and skills needed to be successful in the general education setting. Our program focuses on teaching and reinforcing academic and behavioral problem solving strategies so that students may learn to make choices that enhance their quality of life. Our program is designed to develop self-esteem through student behavioral and academic success accompanied with the recognition of personal achievement. We apply highly structured Positive Behavior Supports Model to our school wide environment utilizing it as the foundation for behavior management and academic instruction. Instruction is aligned with the Arizona State Standards and includes a multitude of differentiated modalities. Students will be taught using proven data driven instructional practices including direct learning, small group, experiential learning, and 1-1 instruction.
