Children of all learning styles learn best by doing. The children will use the fraction disks to easily learn the connection between fractions and decimals. They will be able to use the paper, markers and scissors to build mathematical models to help them with problem solving. The multiplication and division playing cards will help reinforce their number facts. The double sided activity cards will allow them to study and what they have learned. All of this can be accomplish while learning remotely. My students love math and will benefit from direct and clear instruction. Demonstrating how to use these math manipulatives will foster a deeper conceptual understanding of the relationship of numbers to the real world. These manipulatives will give them the conceptual understanding they need. The digital camera will allow me to clearly demonstrate how to use these manipulatives. Donating to my project will enrich my students' education and help build their confidence as lifelong learners.
