These materials will give my students the opportunity to engage in a variety of books. Some are books that they can read independently; others are books that I will read aloud. Having their own books in the classroom will give my students a sense of pride. These books will be used to create a Book Club in our classroom. This Book Club will give students the opportunity to not only practice reading and reading comprehension skills, but to practice appropriate social and communication skills. Each student will take a turn at choosing our Club's "book of the month", using their own voice to take ownership. Students will be so excited to have more books to choose from each month!
