We cannot continue to pull from our own resources alone. So, what do my new 100 babies need to continue to be motivated, engaged, high-achieving scholars? Your help in setting up our new classroom library and creative space! I want to make books look and feel approachable. I want my students to have a space of their own where they can go to read at their own pace, in their own book, without judgment or pressure. In addition, I want my students to learn responsibility; this means learning how to check out books from our library, return them, and keep our library area clean and organized. With your help, I will hopefully be able to cultivate a space in my classroom that invites my students to want to read and explore the world or words. In terms of the classroom itself, I want to continue to have an atmosphere of acceptance and celebration of our young scholars. This is where you come in! The resources we need will be used in projects (coloring materials, pens, pencils), the bins will help organize the space, the bean bags will be fun seating for readers, and the celebratory decorations will help students feel special and appreciated!
