Our students come from an urban community in New York. They are in grades 7 through 11 (ages 12-17). They are all minorities and some come from broken homes. They have not had many past successes in school, but the teachers work hard to show the value of education and raise their confidence levels. Most of our students also have special needs. Many times, those special needs have gone unfulfilled until now. Our school works hard to identify the disabilities that some students have, and we prepare our classes to work with those needs.
