Our students are members of our community who have been given a second chance at obtaining a high school diploma and also an opportunity to earn a college degree. Our students are single mothers, high school drop outs, ex-offenders but more than that they are men and women how understand the value of a good education, otherwise they would not be here. They are not forced to attend school, it is their choice. Some of our students walk, others ride the bus, whatever means of transportation they find, they arrive every day with the expectation to be taught. When they arrive on our campus they see trailers and concrete sidewalks. We are not your typical high school. We hold classes in modules with tables and chairs and laptop computers. We eat at our desk. The teachers are dedicated and determined to make a difference in our students lives. We understand how the environment impacts our students lives and how resilient they are because they keep coming back, they continue to learn.
