The requested team fees will allow all students in Economics in the Spring, 2017 semester to participate in a Stock Market Game simulation, regardless of their income situation. They will research local and national companies, the function of the stock market, bonds, mutual funds, and the basics of investing. Students will learn the skills needed to work in groups, make group decisions, and project management skills. This project can change student lives because they will gain not only knowledge of, but also experience using skills that can benefit them for a lifetime. Most of their parents know very little, if anything, about the stock market or investing. Not only will this simulation be beneficial to students, but parents often learn about the stock market and investing from their student.
