My students are full of energy and eager to learn. They learn best when they are able to be a part of their learning. Giving them opportunities to use hands on materials is a great way to invite them into the learning world. My students enjoy working not just with me (teacher), but their peers. My school is a great place to be with passionate educators. We are working towards building our math program and ensuring students are concrete with the grade level skills before moving to the next grade, but do not always have the funding for materials needed. My students learn best when they have manipulative's that they can use. It makes the concept more concrete in their minds and in return, provides them with a better understanding!
