The use of Chromebooks is a daily activity in my classroom, for both reading and math. The headphones will allow the students to be more engaged and therefore learn more during whole group and center time. The problem the students have right now during these times is noise. When all of the students have their Chromebooks on it gets extremely noisy as they have the volume up high in order to hear. The noise becomes a huge distraction and the students are not engaged or focused. By having headphones, the noise level will be low and learning will be more productive. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, but you will also ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. Students will be able to simply focus on the academic material at hand, and not the noise level of the classroom. Plus in this technology literate world, any interaction with updated technology will increase their literacy as well as their desire to learn and use the new technology!
