My chidren are curious, energetic, and eager. Some experience trauma and toxic stress which may impact their learning. Some students don't experience or see a lot of things outside of their community and I would love for them to expand their adventures through various resources provided to them. School initiatives, such as PBIS and AVID, support students as we teach them skills for life, college, and career readiness. Adversity can be overcome with guidance, strength, and perseverance. As their teacher, I continue to strive to create a learning environment where each student reaches success through his/her own individual determination. These kiddos have so much grit! I am grateful for organizations such as Donors Choose that offer tremendous opportunities to help students succeed.
