My students are predominantly "at risk", Hispanic, high poverty youth. Many of our families have come to the US fleeing the Mexican drug wars, while many of them are from local multi-generational poverty Hispanic families. Our district has a 60% drop out rate am trying everything I can do to help them to choose healthy, happy lifestyles, where they have the education needed to be good and safe community members with thinking and work skills.

About my class
