Our school is located in Camden, New Jersey which has been described variously by the media as the "poorest city in the US" and/or "the most dangerous city in America." 96% of our students are classed as economically disadvantaged; 16% have special needs. At Sharp, our students are not limited by their circumstances. In spite of these and other challenges, Sharp consistently outperforms the district average; most recently, 62% of Sharp students were proficient in Mathematics compared to 30% for the district overall.
