I teach at a Title I charter school, where more than 90% of the students are on free and reduced lunch and a high number of them are English Language Learners. They are hard-working, determined individuals with a desire to attend college; many would be the first to do so in their family. At my school, we have a few thinks and acts that guide our learning. Two of the most important ones that are posted in every classroom are "100% Everyday" and "Whatever It Takes". My students live out this motto every single day. Attending our school is hard, but students make the choice to push through a rigorous curriculum because they know their ultimate goal is going to and through college.
