My students are 7th and 8th graders from bayou-town Louisiana. They are surrounded by amazing ecosystems, the technology and advancement of the chemical and oil fields, and an environment found nowhere else in the U.S. I want to teach my students about them! I want them to engage, become hands-on, and experience the amazing science in their everyday lives. I can give that to them one lab class at a time. They get excited about lab activities and that makes me excited!
