My kinders are young, little minds that are not all the time easily motivated. These children have the biggest hearts but do not always come from a great home environment. There are many factors beyond my students' means that affects their ability to learn in my classroom on a daily basis. A lot of my students come from single parent households and do not have the necessary academic support at home to help them be successful. This forces me to be intentional in maximizing instruction by incorporating remediation measures like creating flex and small groups, along with quick check assessments to assist them in the things they do not understand. We as a school enjoy shaping our children into more than what they believe they can become.
