My students are so engaged by our construction unit, but most of our materials are real and subsequently unsafe for students to use independently. These materials will give my students the opportunity to engage with materials that are safe for them to build with and make the learning we are doing come to life! My students benefit from hands on opportunities - and these materials will give them access to those opportunities in our classroom. We will use these materials to construct, build, and learn. As we receive the materials, we will label them, giving my students an opportunity to incorporate literacy into play. We will also write about our materials and what we do with them.
