Our elementary school is one of the largest in our town, approximately 525 students. It has grown 39% over the last 5 years. We are a highly multicultural school made up of approximately 44% White; 33% Black; 11% Hispanic, 9% Asian; and other. We also provide services to numerous homeless students that get bused in. I try to provide as many intramural sports as possible. My track team expands each year, and we are short of equipment, but I want as much participation as possible. Track and field is emphasized as both a team and individual progress. Students who often don't succeed academically can shine athletically.
