Increased access to these tech tools will allow my students the opportunity to increase their motivation toward learning. It will allow them to explore Chrome extensions that eliminate the learning barriers that they struggle academically. Students will use the Chromebooks as a conduit to learn emotional regulation and coping strategies that will help them navigate more rigorous academic tasks. Students will utilize self-management strategies in order to remain engaged in completing academic tasks that they have identified as challenging personally. By teaching self-management strategies along with academic instruction and use of Chrome extensions, students are more likely to remain engaged when encountering demanding work because they have the emotional regulation skills and tech tools to support anticipated challenges.
