All students deserve to be great readers! My goal is to meet with all my guided reading groups at the same table, which means that I need smaller seating to accommodate my larger groups. Stools are smaller and require less space and in turn, allows six students to sit together during a lesson. This would benefit both students and teacher during reading instruction. Sitting together at our guided reading table allows me to have all my materials on hand, and also forms a sense of community along with student collaboration. We have worn out our butterfly chairs covers, and they desperately need to be replaced so that they can be used again during independent reading.
