Like I said when describing my students, they come from a very low income area and most of them don't have very good lives at home. I want my classroom to be a magical place that helps them forget about the cruel, outside world. One way I plan on making my classroom a magical place is to have an organized and exciting reading corner. In this corner, my students can grab a good book from the organized shelf, get comfortable on the beanbags, and learn to love reading. My students need beanbag chairs and book bins for an organized and comfortable place to love reading. In the past few years, I have had many students who do not enjoy learning. My goal this year is for them all to love learning and I truly believe that this reading corner could be the beginning of that!
