My students are 23 fantastic and energetic kindergarten from an area in Charlotte, North Carolina in a high poverty area. They come from various cultural backgrounds and languages, creating a truly unique and diverse classroom. Most of them lack books and crucial materials in the home which motivates us to provide these tools for our students even more in the classroom. They are funny, dedicated, brilliant, kind, inquiring minds who rise to any academic challenge presented to them. My students are 5 & 6 old who need stimulating and enthralling academic exposures in order to help solidify the content they are learning. We learn together in a Pre-K-5 school that does the best it can for our highly impoverished population. Our school has a large ELL population and high needs for differentiation and authentic learning experiences.
