Students work best when their physical comfort needs are met. By making many different seating options and learning spaces available around the classroom, students have a choice of where and how they will work. By being physically comfortable, they stay on task for longer periods of time. Some examples of these flexible seating options are lap desks for students to use while sitting on the floor; stools without backs for students who need to move more but be seated while working; support pillows for students who like to lean against a wall to be comfortable while working; and the list goes on! This application has been approved by School District 622.
