A large percentage of my students are English language learners, in which English is their second language. Several of them are bilingual and speak both Spanish and English. The elementary school is located in a low income community and is in desperate need of reconstruction, since it was built during the 1950s. Due to budget cuts and minimal financial support, our students lack the sufficient resources they need to excel academically.
