I teach four science classes, two seventh grade and two eight grade. I love each class because each class is very different with their own unique learning needs. What makes these classes even more special is many of these students have been working together since Kindergarten. This situation provides many positives but also has it's own set of unique challenges. Because many of these students have spent so much time together, they really know each other well. This helps them have close friends but it can prove to be challenging for them when in class because they know each other so well. That is why it is so nice to have fresh, new experiences to keep them engaged and interested in what they are working on. Every grant I write for these classes will be for new and engaging things that they have never done and possibly may never do again. But they will remember it!
