My students are very excited to have a classroom set of Chromebooks. These computers are currently being shared with four other teachers on my team. Many of my students do not have computers at home, so they take a lot of pride in keeping these devices safe. In sharing the computers on my team, we do not have an efficient or safe way to transport computers back and forth from each classroom. We also do not have an appropriate place to house them. This can lead to computers being damaged or lost, all of which are expenses which we would like to avoid. If we had a Chromebook cart to house our devices, students would be able to take on more responsibility in ensuring that computers are effectively organized. It would also make the devices more accessible for my teammates because we would be able to more efficiently transport them.
