My students are not typical middle school students; they are students that are one or more years behind academically. They have so much untouched potential but lack the confidence and resources. Our goal is to support them emotionally and academically to get them to a point that they can get back on track and become GREAT students and MATHEMATICIANS. They need additional support and resources to become 21st Century learners. Our school gives our students the opportunity to focus, commit to and take ownership of their education. The learning environment requires innovative and energetic teaching. Once you engage them, they become curious, questioning learners that are creative and excited about learning. Teachers must teach creatively and respond to their learning styles.
