I work in a great school. The teachers and staff are extremely dedicated and hard working. Our class sizes in Grade One range from 24-27 students. However, our population is transient throughout the school year. The students come from all types of households. However, most are very poor. Out of 24 students last year, 18 received free lunch, 5 received reduced lunch, and 3 were full pay. Our Grade One field trip was to the zoo. For many of my students, this was their first time visiting a zoo.
