While our students have some access to technology in their classrooms, the library itself is limited in its technology offerings. Having a set of four iPads will enable the students to explore library skills in new ways. Cooperative learning groups will be able to utilize the iPads to create book trailers, set up QR code book reviews, or present research projects using various apps like Chatterpix. Individual students will be able to use the iPads when the students rotate through library centers for different activities like augmented reality (AR) apps, actively searching the library's online catalog for resources, or reading an ebook. Having iPads in the library would provide students with practical and creative solutions for projects. The size and portability of the iPad mean students could move around freely and pass it to a partner easily. The camera's ease of use means the students could film and share all from one device. Abundant education apps give options for project creation. All of this in a device that is familiar to many and fairly easy to master for most.
