My students are eighth graders in a small suburb north of Dayton, Ohio. They are just discovering their voices--their writer's and their speaker's voices. Sharing this voice is scary but extremely empowering when they have an audience who is willing to listen. Displaying anything on the document camera provides a much-needed visual for students and makes it easier for many presentations to be successful. Students will discover the power their own voices can have when they are willing to share them with an audience.
