Welcome! Thank you for taking the time to read about my flexible seating request for my second grade classroom. Rather than the traditional classroom setting, where students are expected to sit still in a desk for the school day, flexible seating allows students to pick a learning space that works best for them. It has been proven that flexible seating results in greater student engagement and motivation, while also increasing students' metabolisms and overall posture/core strength. It is important that I keep my students learning needs in mind and create a student-centered classroom. Donations will contribute to the purchase of: wobble chairs, floor cushion pods, yoga ball seats and reading chairs.
