The population I help nurture have extremely challenging lives. Many students only meal is when they eat at school. Some students are homeless and/or do not have a stable home life. But despite all of these challenges, ALL of my students want to learn and be cared for. They come to school to feel safe and know that there are people that want to help in any way we can. For this reason, I vow to make my students feel safe and secure. I want them all to work as hard as I will for them. They see this, feel this, and recognize not everyone is perfect but we can all strive to be better. Kid President always asks, "What will you do to make the world more awesome?" My response is teach.
