My students come from a small-town with many different backgrounds. I teach in a Title-I school system where the majority of our children receive free or reduced lunches. Coming in disadvantaged, I try to make each and every child feel like school is their safe place. To put it in perspective, I have purchased shoes, clothing, and weekend meals for my students. The need to be loved and cared for as well as taught! My students enjoy learning and are curious about their curriculum. They work hard despite their home situations. The yearn for knowledge and I adore providing it!
