My students come from all socio-economic backgrounds. We service students who are gifted, have special needs, and everything in between. Our classrooms need to be multi-sensory experiences which enable students to use their personal areas of strength to help them learn. In my classroom I incorporate visual learning, auditory techniques, tactile teaching methods as well as kinesthetic methods. A love of science needs to germinate so we can then watch them bloom into young scientists.
