Band teaches students skills such as responsibility, leadership and team work. Having the ability to play an instrument in band will allow them to become lifelong musicians and more productive members of society. Items like reeds and valve oil are essential materials for students to be able to participate in band class. If a student does not have basic materials for class, they are often unable to participate or our school has to provide these materials for them. Having access to these items will relieve a stress placed on our families and will allow them to participate without placing a burden on their households.

About my class
