As you can see from my classroom picture, we are crammed in the classroom with too many desks! The students have a hard time focusing and getting work done, there is little room to walk around and navigate through the room, and there is nowhere for students to collaborate. The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students already have a "home." In other words, I know exactly where everything will go, and how it will be used. We just need your help in getting everything through our door! The large carpet will be placed in the front of the classroom and used as a gathering place during mini-lessons and share time. This will help increase collaboration and sharing tremendously! The yoga mats, cushions, chairs, stools, clipboards, and lap desks will be offered to students, so they may work where they are comfortable. The donations to this project will help to increase engagement, productivity, and collaboration. By implementing flexible seating, my students will be comfortable in their learning environment, and will be even more ready to learn! I have been researching flexible seating and have seen it in action, and it is my dream to make flexible seating happen for my students. I truly need your support to make my dream a reality. Thank you!
