In my classroom we love to play instruments. The bigger variety of instruments available to the students, the more exposure they have to different cultures and styles of music. The djembe I am requesting is an instrument my students have never heard or played before. I would love to give them this experience. Drumming builds an atmosphere of family and connection. My students work together to create this connection through learning and performing music. My students will gain a greater mastery of cooperation and teamwork through drumming. They already love to play and adding this new instrument will give them even more enthusiasm!
