My students are 18 amazing and energetic kinders to 7th graders from Brooklyn, NY. My students demonstrate diverse learning disabilities and even more diverse learning needs. Many of my students have auditory, visual, physical and/or cognitive deficits. They come from various cultural and economic backgrounds which also contributes to their uniqueness. Despite their physical and cognitive deficits, my students are eager to use technology to write, communicate and explore. My students with auditory, visual or motor deficits can become more actively engaged during occupational therapy sessions that incorporate the iPad as a therapeutic tool.
