Having the chess clocks will allow us to structure our sessions under the same time constraints found in chess competitions around the world. Just as high stakes testing is completed under the strictest time conditions, exposing our students to the chess clock will increase their ability to answer questions with speed and accuracy under similar conditions. We can expect our students to become better decision makers under pressure-like conditions. Time management is a fundamental aspect of all of our lives. Why not introduce time management in a fun, interactive and unassuming manner where students can learn how to thrive under similar conditions throughout their lifetime? Let's give them the opportunity to do so while learning about a game that has been played for centuries.
