About my class

With 30 students in each class, all of my students need access to technology to create multimedia service learning projects. We are at least 5 Chromebooks short. Our teachers do not have copy machines that function consistently, so we cannot make enough copies for our students to read, annotate, and highlight to build college readiness skills and prepare for the SAT. We are given one box of printer paper each year, then we have to purchase our own when we run out. It's very frustrating that technology and technology education is not prioritized in our school, and shockingly enough, this is a citywide problem. As the Student Voice Committee facilitator, our students have been wanting to improve school culture by starting a school newspaper, but we need supplies! We need a proper printer, copier, ample printer paper, and copy ink to make this happen. We have an extra editorial desk but need chairs. The student desks are falling apart. If this project is funded, we can start a proper school newspaper and ensure enough copies for the entire social studies department and 11th grade level team!
