I teach science and math in the most ethnically and linguistically diverse school district in the nation. Most of our students' families come to Foster from elsewhere in the world, and they come with great hopes and wonderful ideas. My goal is to give students opportunities to use their technological knowledge to develop their ideas creatively. I hope to help students create their own technology in a robotics and making club, as well as in my classes. Our students often do not have opportunities for engaging science enrichment outside of school, because our students lack resources--with 72% of students receiving free or reduced price lunch. We need to provide these enriching activities in school, and I hope you join me in helping to provide them.
