I am a speech therapist in a lower elementary school in rural Louisiana. I am requesting help in continuing my dream of building a library of books written for children about children with disabilities. Our pre-k through second grade school of over 500 students includes two pre-school classes for children with different abilities. The students in this class include children with Down syndrome, hearing impairments, speech and language impairments, orthopedic impairments, autism, and developmental delays. The students in these classes will be a part of our campus and a part of our community for their entire lives.
