Many libraries lack books that are new, cool and interesting. With books that are current and discuss things that Middle School students are currently enduring, they are for more engaged in the readings. I plan to use this book to align with their ELA standards as well as build character as they unveil the hardships of the main character in the novel Tangerine, by Edward Bloor. In addition to reading materials, it is imperative that students have reference books to help build their vocabulary acquisition. With a class set of dictionaries, I can ensure students the opportunity to expand their vocabularies.
