My students must keep up with the latest advancements in education in this 21st century of learning. The addition of 10 tablets to my classroom will allow my students to explore the world while engaging in real-world problem-solving activities. Students are noticeably more engaged in their learning when they have a device in their hands, investigating a topic they are interested in. Science is an inquiry-based subject that allows many opportunities for students to explore the world around them. Unfortunately, this cannot all be done in person, so the next best thing is through the use of technology. In my classroom, students explore topics such as global warming and climate change. In order for students to get a more authentic learning experience, they need to be able to explore this concept first hand through videos, articles, data collection, and research. Without the use of tablets, this task would be nearly impossible.
