On Friday, August 12, 2016 our students and staff were asked to stay home due to inclement weather. Little did we know that inclement weather would devastate our community, homes, and schools. 90% of our community took on flood waters and have been left with nothing. This includes most of our schools. My school Denham Springs Junior High is one of the 15 schools affected by the flood of 2016. This is an incredible school ran by an incredible staff. Please help us, my classroom specifically, rebuild and recover from this tragedy! Our hope is to be able to once again provide a warm, welcoming environment for our students to come back to. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers! It's a great day to be a yellow jacket!
