The environment our students come from isn't always the ideal situation. Sometimes they have more responsibility than most kids would. I want to provide them with ball, jump ropes and and other recess equipment so that during our structured recess times they can focus on having fun. We have over 930 students who will use the sports and playground balls to stay active in both structured recess activities and independent games. The students will participate in large group activities using the equipment to play games such as "Dog Catcher" or small group activities such as "Straddle Ball". The equipment will provide our students with an opportunity to increase and maintain healthy heart rates, interact in safe manners, and learn teamwork.
