My students touch every point on the spectrum. I have kids that are extremely excited by music of all kinds and students that have only been exposed to one type of music their entire lives. I have students that have played music from the day they could walk and students that never touched an instrument until they walked into my class. I have students that drive BMWs, and students that are on the Free-Lunch program. With all the diversity and disparity between the kids, we are all pursuing one common goal: to perform as a group and to create music for ourselves and others. We strive to put on concerts and performances that would give Collegiate and Professional groups a run for their money. Where some may steer away from challenges, we like to challenge them head on, often playing material that is intended for a much more experienced group. In the end, it is a great, driven group of kids that are hungry to learn, to perform, and to create as a group.
