The titles that are selected in the project are high interest topics that the students will love to read. Furthermore, a lot the titles are also fully composed book series. A lot of times the school is only able to order part of the series and not the full series, and that leaves the students little desire to pick up some of the titles that increase their reading levels. Many of the series are supposed to improve a reading level as you move along the series, but if the full series are not present in the classroom it is difficult to do so. The problem with working in a high needs community is the list of options, and middle school students need a ton of them. The titles cover many different genre of reading and that will inspire the students to read a genre that they never had or continue to find more books that they like in their genre. These books combined with the ones that I have preserved in my library will help me foster how important and life changing reading can be. The goal is create future readers and help them understand the importance of reading.
