My students are eager to help others. Some are working on games for special education students in elementary schools while others are working on tools to communicate with disabilities. We are about 70% free and reduced lunch and 60% Hispanic. My students love the STEAM classes and they love helping others. They are craving ways to expand their reach to help others. This will also help the girls in the class be motivated to join for future years. They enjoy going to the neighboring elementary school and teaching them things that they learn in class. Students want to take their coding skills and BUILD something that the elementary students can use to learn more about STEM. Some things they want to explore building are sign language gloves and water testing robots. These will help them take their coding skills and apply them to robotics and help others.
